BARK-BARK-BARK at NatureWorksPark

This is our very first blog and we wanted to take this space to promote two of our favorite things – the great outdoors and our pets!

BCCD developed a new environmental park, NatureWorksPark, so we can share our love of nature and conservation with our community. NatureWorksPark welcomes all visitors including the furry variety. We invite you and your pup to visit our Park and enjoy the green space and get in touch with nature.

We have a small walking trail that includes a boardwalk through a wetland. The trail loops past our riparian buffer, rain gardens, and pollinator gardens – all sites that attract birds and wildlife. We have seen red tail hawks, deer, frogs, snakes and a bald eagle!

Check out our new doggy waste stations at the Park. When visiting with your four-legged friends, please be sure they stay on a leash and help keep our Park clean by using the bags made available at the waste stations.
